PPM Express allows you to customize the fields displayed in the Task form when creating or editing tasks.
With this functionality, you can select which fields appear by default, making the creation/editing Task form more convenient and tailored to your project's needs.
To configure the fields displayed in the Task form:
1. Open the required Project in PPM Express.
2. The Task form configuration is managed through Project Layouts. This means that the selected fields are saved as part of the layout configuration rather than directly in an individual project. To use the updated Task form, you need to apply the corresponding layout to the project.
First, make sure a Project Layout is applied to the project. The Task form configuration is associated with the layout, so a layout must be applied before you can configure the fields.

3. Navigate to the Tasks page. The Configure Task Form option becomes available on the Tasks page under the Actions menu once a layout has been applied to the project.

4. Click Configure Task Form.
5. In the configuration panel, review the default list of fields.
Select the fields you want to display in the Task form. You can remove unnecessary fields from the default selection.
6. Click Save to save your configuration.

7. Go back to the Project page, click on the ellipsis button in the upper-right corner, and click Apply Layout. Choose the layout you have just configured to apply the updated settings to the project.

8. Click Confirm in the window that appears to apply the changes.

Once the configuration is applied, the selected fields will appear by default when you create or edit tasks in that project.
To use the same Task form configuration in other projects, apply the updated layout to those projects as well.
Required fields are always included in the Task form, even if they are not part of your selected field configuration.
If there is available space among the configured fields, required fields are displayed alongside them. Otherwise, they appear below the selected fields.
