The Project Story in PPM Express is available through the Presentation Mode of the projects.
The Presentation Mode is a feature in PPM Express, designed to help project teams present project content in a clean and visually focused format. It allows users to open a selected project as a dedicated presentation page, instead of landing on the regular project dashboard.
This is particularly useful for displaying Project Story content, which delivers AI-powered project reports that summarize key data insights and provide automatic updates on project progress using advanced language models.
Availability
Presentation Mode and Project Story are available for Enterprise and Enterprise Ultra subscription plans:
In the Enterprise Plan, the Presentation Mode supports Project Story only. If Project Story is disabled, Presentation Mode becomes unavailable.
In the Enterprise Ultra, the Presentation Mode supports Project Story, and it can also be used to embed other external content, such as Power BI dashboards, using a custom URL.
How to Enable Presentation Mode
To configure this feature, a PPM Express Administrator should follow these steps:
Navigate to the Tenant Settings page.
Ensure that Presentation Mode is enabled under the Features and Modules section.
Scroll to the Presentation Mode section. Once the Presentation Mode setting is enabled, the Project Story setting is automatically activated.
Both settings must be enabled for Project Story to function correctly. By default, both features are ON for all newly created tenants. For existing tenants, it must be enabled manually.
How to Use Presentation Mode
After enabling the feature on the tenant level, a new Presentation Mode option will appear under the three-dot menu for each project.
It can also be opened from the ellipsis button on the Project dashboard.
When selected, the project opens in a focused, presentation-style view showing the Project Story.
Project Managers or users with edit permissions can adjust the Project Story content as needed.
To exit the Presentation Mode, click the "Leave Presentation Mode" button in the top right corner of the page.
Users can manage whether projects open by default in Presentation Mode by visiting the My Account page. There, a new setting allows each user to choose whether to enter Presentation Mode automatically when opening projects.
Additionally, administrators can configure this preference for users via the People Management page by adjusting each user’s Personal Settings. This setting is also available in the Default Permissions.
However, even if it is enabled by a PPM Express administrator, users can turn it off from their Account Settings. This change will also be reflected in the People Management → Personal Settings section.
