How to upgrade or change PPM Express subscription

In this article, we will review how to upgrade the PPM Express license from a trial plan to a paid subscription and how to change your plan to a different one. 


Upgrading from a trial to a paid plan

When the first user signs up to PPM Express and creates the tenant for the organization, a trial license will be applied automatically according to the selected plan. It will be valid for 30 days and will include the following number of user/team member seats: 

  • Projects plan includes 5 users (by default when a trial is registered); no team members are included in the plan. 
  • To request a trial of the Projects Unlimited plan, please use the Contact Us button. Projects Unlimited plan allows selecting any number of users. 
  • Enterprise plan includes 5 users, 25 team members (by default when a trial is registered). After the trial period, it is possible to buy additional user/team member seats or select the unlimited option.
  • To request a trial of the Enterprise Ultra plan, please use the Contact Us button. When the trial is issued, it includes 5 users and 25 team members by default but can be set higher if communicated to the Sales team using the Contact Us button). After the trial period, it is possible to buy additional user/team member seats or select the unlimited option.

After 30 days of a trial period on the Projects/Projects Unlimited plans, the PPM Express Administrator can only access the Billing settings page if the plan was not selected and paid. For the Enterprise plans, there is a grace period of 7 days for users to continue using PPM Express functionality.

Note: It is possible to switch the plan when you are on a trial period. To do this, please click the Contact Us button under the required plan. 


To purchase a plan when the trial period is over, please perform the following:

1. Open the PPM Express Billing page.

2. If you want to purchase the Projects plan, click the Buy Now button. 

3. In the window that appears, provide the number of User Seats (Team Member seats are unavailable on the Projects plan). Review the total price and click Proceed

4. Your Order page will be opened where you can review the details for your order and the price. 

Click the Proceed to Checkout button to pay for your order. 

5. Provide your payment details;

  • Account
  • Billing and Shipping information
  • Payment details

Click the Pay and Subscribe button to pay for your order. 

6. Click Close to close the Billing Operations window.

The plan will be applied at once, and you can review the details in the Manage Billing Details section on the Billing page.

If you want to select one of the Enterprise plans or the Project Unlimited plan, or if you don't want to pay with your debit/credit card and would like to receive and pay with the payment order, please click the Contact Us button under the selected plan. In this way, you will contact our Sales Team and they will issue the required number of user seats and will send the invoice to be paid. 

7. Next, open the People Management page. 

8. Open the user accounts with the 'Not Applied' license type for editing. 

9. In the License field select the required license type: User or Team Member (if you are on the Projects plan, Team Member type is unavailable). Set the required permissions and click Save to save the changes. 


Changing a subscription plan
